This Privacy Policy describes how AgentUp ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you interact with our AI-powered messaging automation service via Instagram Direct Messages.

When you send a Direct Message to an Instagram account connected to our service, we may collect:

Your Instagram username and user ID
The content of messages you send
Timestamp of the conversation
General information about your inquiry (e.g., business type, interest)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

Respond to your inquiries via automated AI-powered replies
Qualify and route your request to the appropriate human contact
Improve the quality of our automated responses
Store conversation history to provide context in follow-up messages

3. Data Storage

Conversation data is stored securely in our database (Supabase / PostgreSQL) hosted in the European Union. We retain this data for up to 12 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

AI processing providers (e.g., OpenRouter) solely to generate automated responses — data is not retained by them beyond the request
When required by law or legal process

5. Instagram / Meta Platform Data

Our application accesses Instagram messaging data through the Meta Platform API solely for the purpose of responding to your Direct Messages. We comply with Meta's Platform Terms and Meta's Messaging Policy. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to any third party.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to your personal data we hold
Request deletion of your data
Opt out of automated messaging at any time by replying "STOP"

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls to protect your data from unauthorized access.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
